If you need to change or update a projects details or line items, you can do this via editing the project. If you do change the line items on the projects, the forecast values on the project's profit widgets will change. This can be useful if there are any changes mid project, such as a custom field needs to be update or there is a variation required.
NOTE: Updating the project will NOT affect any actuals accrued on the project to date. Project line items that have actuals accrued will not be able to be deleted.
To edit the project, open the project details page by clicking on the Project No in the project dashboard.
From the project detail page, click on the Actions button from the Quick Actions menu, and click Edit Project.
On the edit project screen, you can update both the project details and the project task and product line items. NOTE: If you need to remove a line and the delete X is not present, that means that line item has actuals against it and cannot be removed. In this example you cannot remove the task line as it has a timesheet entry.
After editing the project details, click Save Project. The project's forecast values will now be updated if edited.
