During the initial integration between WorkGuru and Xero, one of the requirements is to set the default General Ledger (GL) mappings and currency settings.   As Xero's chart of accounts and currency requirements evolve to meet changing business requirements, it may be necessary to change or update the default GLs in WorkGuru to ensure transactions sent to Xero are being coded correctly.


You can review and update your GL mappings from the setting page.



If the GL account you require is not displayed in the dropdown list, you can update them from the Xero dashboard at Administration -> Accounting -> Xero.   Click Get Tax Rates and Get Chart of Accounts to ensure WorkGuru has the latest tax and General Ledger from Xero.


If you are using your Xero reporting categories, you can also Manage Reporting Categories, to show or hide the categories displayed in WorkGuru.    You can also make the categories mandatory on purchase orders if required by your workflow.
