Suggest that the Profit By Project within Period standard report data fields should include Customer Credits & Supplier Credits columns. At the moment the Total Cost & Total Revenue columns show the correct totals but the totals do not represent the sum of the existng task/product/purchase cost and revenue columns as supplier and customer credit amounts are not visable.
We have added these columns in our custom report but I believe that they should be listed in the standard report for all users.
There may be other profit by project reports with same matter.

For accurate reporting, all default reports that pick up costs & revenue should also pick up the credit note value automatically.
