Importing Assets

If you have an existing asset list, you can import it into WorkGuru using the asset import template. Click on the Import Assets+ button on the asset dashboard.

WorkGuru asset import field definitions:

Name	Asset name - (Make this unique as assets are matched off name)	Required
Client	Client the asset is currently assigned to	Required
BillingClient	Projects assigned to the asset gets invoiced to this client
SerialNumber	Unique identifier for the assets - Required if using serial number matching.
Type	Asset type, used to group assets together

Note: Assets are matched off name and names must therefore be unique.

Asset Custom Fields

Asset custom fields can be added to the asset import template with another column with the custom field name in the header. It is important that you match the content format to the custom field type (date, number etc) to ensure a successful import. For example, if your custom field name is Warranty with a date field type, your import would look like this:
