Deleting Products

If you no longer require to stock, sell or use a product, WorkGuru does not allow you to delete a product due to historical stock movement and reporting reasons.  However you can make the product Inactive if no longer required. Inactive products do not affect stock or inventory performance and are considered part of WorkGuru's recommended 10000 product limit.

To you can make products inactive by either:

• Product Update
• Bulk Update

Product Update

You can make products inactive individually from the product edit page and unchecking the Is Active checkbox.  Save the product to make the product inactive.

Bulk Update

If you need to make a large number of products inactive at once, the best way to do this is via a bulk product update.  Export the required product list as a csv file and change the IsActive column from TRUE to FALSE for the products no longer required.

Import the updated csv file to bulk update the products list and to make the required products inactive.

Inactive products can now be viewed in the product dashboards Inactive tab.

Note: If you have a large count of inactive products, it is recommended you use the Advanced Export function to only export Active products when doing day-to-day bulk product administration. Set the Is Active? dropdown to True. Using the normal export function will export ALL products which may cause performance issues if over the recommended 10000 products.
