Non-Stock products are the default product type in WorkGuru. Non-Stock products are products that are not stock controlled and won't display the current stock on hand. Non-Stock products are identified by the product's Tracking Type set to NonStock.
Non-stock products are generally more flexible than stock controlled product types as there is no restriction on using or dispatching (they are never out of stock) and will track and report on how many you have used over a period as opposed to how many you still have on hand. Non-stock products are also useful to setup services and expenses such as sub-contractors, consumables and fixed cost billable line items.
Non-stock products can be purchased either directly on a purchase order or from within a project's purchasing automations not related to stock on hand or par levels. Using a non-stock product on a project or production job, or dispatching on a stock sale is when WorkGuru track that cost as an actual cost.
