Importing Product Units of Measure

Product Units of Measures (UoMs) can be imported in bulk via the UoM Import template and is a two step process. 

• 1. Create or Import Parent Products
• 2. Import Product Unit of Measures

You can upload your import template from Products-> Import Products or from the Actions menu on the Products Dashboard. 

Note:  Product Unit of Measures are part of WorkGuru's Stock Module. Both the parent and unit of measure products must be imported with the TrackingType set to FIFO.  Units of measures do not support NonStock, Batch or Serial.

Create or Import Parent Products

Before you import a UoM, the "parent" or primary unit, usually the smallest unit of the product you use or sell, needs to already exist in WorkGuru.  The parent product can be created manually or imported via the standard WorkGuru product import template.  An example of a parent product import is attached below.  Note: Multiple parent products can be imported at once.

Import Product Unit of Measures

The UoM import template simply requires two additional headers to be added to the standard WorkGuru product import template to link the UoM to the primary unit Sku and quantity. The rest of the UoM product's details are entered as per a standard product import template as required.

An example of a UoM product import adding two UoMs (XXXX-6 and XXXX-24) to an exisiting parent product (XXXG) would look like the following:
