I see there have been some updates to To Do's so not sure about what is already in the works here and how it fits. Rather than a dedicated to do it would just be an notification through the notes section as a more feed style. User 1: @User 2 can you update the PO here and save to project.User 2: @User 1 d. u. n. doneWould apply to all notes sections and make comms easy where multiple people working on the same Quote / PO / Project etc.
