We would like to submit a feature request regarding asset tracking within the Project view.
Currently, the Serial Number is stored under the Asset section, but it is not visible within the Project interface or dashboard. The only identifier that appears is the Asset Name (pump code), which is also what shows in the project list view.
The issue we are experiencing is that multiple pumps can have the same Asset Name (same specification). When searching by Asset Name, several pumps appear, which makes it difficult to accurately identify and track a specific pump unit.
Because of this, it would be extremely helpful if the Serial Number could also be visible in the Project view.
Suggested improvements:
Display the Serial Number alongside the Asset Name in the Project Asset section.
Alternatively, allow the Serial Number to replace or be displayed instead of the “Project Group” field on the dashboard, as this field is rarely used for searching in our workflow.
Our requirement is to have both:
Serial Number – to track an individual pump.
Asset Name – to identify pumps with the same specifications.
Having both visible within the Project interface would greatly improve our ability to trace and manage individual pumps.
