Would be great if the files saved to a quote automatically uploaded when the file is revised.

That's a great idea Tony. Giving an option to bring the files forward would work for all situations. Looking forward to it

This is very fair - only thing here, is it'd break things for people if for example a drawing changed between quote 1, and it's revision.
Probably best Idea is to give an option of "Move files to revised quote" when you revise the quote (if files exist on the quote)
Would that work?

To clarify, we need the files from the quote to pull through to the project. This currently happens if there are no revised quotes.
The existing system falls short when the quote is revised as the files aren't pulled through to the revised quote. In turn, they don't get pulled through to the project either.
Existing functionality: Create Quote -> file upload -> accept quote/create project -> file is pulled through to project
When dealing with revisions it is Create Quote -> file upload -> revise quote -> file upload -> eventually accept quote/create project
The problem is that you are then required to open the revised quote attached to the project and then download all of the files from related quotes tab of the accepted quote to then upload to the project directly which can blow out depending on the amounts of files we are talking about per transaction.
Same problem when retrieving file information from a quote that has been revised. Currently we have to open every related quote looking for files.
