WorkGuru API V1 & V2 Keys

To use WorkGuru's API, you need to generate API Keys for your integration developer to securely connect third party applications. 

Note: API keys are considered a user for billing purposes and will will increase your subscription pricing by the standard monthly user fee.

Before creating an API key, carefully review how your integration handles authentication, access control, data storage, and public exposure. Financial and personal data must never be exposed through unsecured applications, public URLs, client-side code, AI-generated integrations, or improperly configured hosting platforms.

You are responsible for ensuring that only authorized users can access sensitive data and that your integration complies with applicable privacy and security requirements. Only proceed if you have fully reviewed the risks and protections in place.

Generate your API Keys from the API Keys Dashboard is available at https://app.workguru.io/App/APIKeys

You can generate your API Key by clicking the Add New API Key.  Enter the following to setup the API key:

• Name for the API Key - Name to identify the key. 
• Public API Access (Scopes) - Select the required scopes the API key needs to access. Scopes limit what this key can do through the Public API (/api/v2), independently of the key's WorkGuru permissions — a request must pass both. Grant only what the integration needs.

Use the green copy buttons to easily copy your API and Secret Key into your third-party integration. ENSURE THAT YOU COPY YOUR SECRET KEY BEFORE SAVING AS THIS WILL BE NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONCE SAVED. Click Save API Key once you have a copy of the keys.
