Project Settings, Custom Project/Task Statuses and ToDo List Properties

Modified on Wed, 27 Nov at 11:47 AM

Project settings allow you to add custom Project statuses, set default Project statuses and todo lists used to help define project workflows:

Custom Project Statuses

Custom project statuses allow you to add your workflow-specific project statuses to be assigned to relevant projects. These statuses will add to the existing default statuses (Cancelled, Completed, In Progress, On Hold).

To setup custom statuses, add the statuses in the field separated by a comma (,). The following example will add 3 custom statuses:

  • Internal
  • Retention
  • Completed Ready to Invoice

These can then be assigned to projects either from the edit projects screen or projects dashboard.

Updating Default Project Status

Changing the default status that projects are assigned when created can be adjusted on these settings as well by selecting the preferred project status from the "Default Project Status" field below:

When you have made your selection, make sure you hit "save all" to finalize the change. All newly created projects will now be assigned the status you defined in the project settings.

Custom Task Statuses

Custom task statuses allow you to extend your custom statuses the next level down to the project statuses.  You can assign specific status to specific tasks to track your progress in more detail.  These statuses will add to the existing default statuses (Cancelled, Completed, In Progress, On Hold).

Task statuses can be assigned in the Overview tab in the project details page.

To Do List Priorities

You can customise the options available in the priority dropdown when adding todos.

Note: The entries in this field will fully override, not extend the default priorities (Urgent, High, Medium, Low).
