Form Fields - Custom Tables

WorkGuru forms allows you display multiple results to custom form questions in a table format using the Custom Table field type.  Each set of answers to the questions will be displayed in a separate row in the output table. The custom table field type requires more configuration than the other types and requires a specific form document template configuration to display results correctly. Note: you can only have 1 custom table per form.

Setting Up Custom Table Form Fields

To include a custom table in a form, create a form using Custom Table field type. In the dropdown field, add each of your questions on a new line. Make note the Name you used for this form field as this is required as the alt-text description of the table used to display the timesheets on the form's document template.

Displaying Custom Table Form Fields

When creating the form's document template, displaying the time sheets form field requires specific formatting via a table to display correctly.

The specific requirements to be able to display the custom table data correctly on the form output are:

• Ensure that the stock usage fields are added in a table WITH a header.  Tables without headers will not display data even if the fields are correct.
• The table needs to have its table properties Alt Text Description is set to Name  of the form field you added  with the Time Sheets field type. In the screenshot example, the Custom Table field name is Table
• The custom table column fields are the case sensitive text of the questions entered dropdown field values formatted between [] brackets. In the screenshot example, the custom table field values (per line questions) are [Question1], [Question2], [Question3] and [Question4].

Completing the Custom Table Form Fields

When completing the form, the custom table will display the questions as table columns.  You can click Add Row to enter multiple sets of data/answers as required.

Once the form is saved, the data captured in the custom table will be displayed as per the form's document template layout.
