Migrating clients from WorkflowMax to WorkGuru is a two step process if importing client contacts:
- Clients
- Client Contacts (optional)
Clients
Clients can be exported directly out of WorkflowMax already in a very similar format to the WorkGuru import template. From the WorkflowMax export page (Business -> Settings -> Export All Data) click Export in the Files Export section.
From the WorkflowMax export page, select Generic - Clients from the File Type drop-down.
Scroll to the base of the page and click Export.
The WFM export file link will generate, click on Click to download export file to download the csv export.
Open the file and remap the export to the standard WorkGuru client import template and then import into WorkGuru. WorkflowMax postal addresses can be captured in WorkGuru by creating custom fields. You can map the postal addresses to the relevant custom fields by adding columns to the import spreadsheet with the custom field name as the header.

Client Contacts
Client contacts can be exported from the same Files Export section as the client data (Business -> Settings -> Export All Data). From the WorkflowMax export page, select Generic - Contacts from the File Type drop-down.
Scroll to the base of the page and click Export.
The WFM export file link will generate, click on Click to download export file to download the csv export.
Open the file and remap the export to the standard WorkGuru client contact import template. Note: WorkflowMax can't export the contact name in separate first and last name fields. You will need to split the combined name using available spreadsheet tools.
