Importing To Do Items

To Do Items can be bulk imported into WorkGuru using the To Do import function found under Administration > Imports > Import To Do.

Or from the To Do List dashboard Actions -> Import to Do

By default the import will simply upload the To Do items to WorkGuru, which can then be viewed on the To-Do List menu, however by using optional fields they can also be applied directly to Quotes, Projects, etc.

WorkGuru To-Do List Import Template Import Field Definitions

Name	name of To-Do item, if assigned to a task then this will appear on the transaction details screen	Required
Description	Viewable on To-Do List menu
User	If there is no assigned user set, this will default to the user who completed the import upload
Priority	No Priority (leave blank), Urgent, High, Medium, Low
ProjectNumber	Project that the To Do Item is to be listed on	*Required if including ProjectTask field
ProjectTask	Task line that the To Do Item is to be listed on	*Required if including ProjectNumber field
QuoteNumber	Quote that the To Do Item is to be listed on	*Required if including QuoteTask field
QuoteTask	Quote that the To Do Item is to be listed on	*Required if including QuoteProject field
DueDate	Due date of the To Do Item

Note: if importing To-Dos to a specific transaction, ensure that BOTH the inputs are spelt 100% correctly - failure to do so will result in the transaction field with incorrect spelling being ignored, which will have knock-on effects depending on which field is incorrect. E.G. if the ProjectNumber field is incorrect, the To-Do List item will import as if ProjectNumber/ProjectTask values are empty, if the ProjectTask field is incorrect, it will import it directly to the project without assigned it to a task, which can then only be viewed on the To Do List menu.

If a Transaction Number/Task has been included and all fields have been filled out correctly, upon import the To-Do items will be shown against the relevant project task lines in the Project Details screen.
