Employment Hero Overview

The Employment Hero Payroll integration lets you send the hours your staff record in WorkGuru straight into Employment Hero Payroll, so you don't have to type timesheets into two systems.

Here's the basic flow:

A few important things to understand up front:

- The information flows mainly one way: from WorkGuru → Employment Hero. WorkGuru is where you create and edit timesheets; Employment Hero is where they land for payroll.

- WorkGuru is the "source of truth" for this integration. The cleanest way to run this is to always make timesheet changes in WorkGuru and let them flow across from there.

- A small amount of information can come back the other way — you can pull the *cost* and *status* of timesheets back from Employment Hero into WorkGuru on demand.

 One thing to note: Employment Hero Payroll runs on an engine called KeyPay. You may occasionally see the word "KeyPay" in a status message — it means the same thing as Employment Hero Payroll.
