Using the Automation Library

Modified on Fri, 17 Jul at 1:02 PM

The Automation Library is where you find and install ready-made workflows. Everything you

install arrives as an **inactive draft** for you to review and switch on — nothing goes

live automatically.

**Where to find it:** from the Workflow Dashboard, click **Search the Library** (top

right), or go to *Workflows → Library*.

## What you'll see

The Library opens on the **Recommended** view, with a few sections from top to bottom:

- **A banner at the top** that changes with your progress:

  - If you haven't installed the Starter Pack yet, you'll see a large purple banner with an

    **Install Recommended Pack** button.

  - Once the Starter Pack is in, it shrinks to a smaller "next recommended collection"

    prompt.

  - When you've installed everything recommended, it becomes a slim "You're all set" strip.

- **A stats line** — e.g. "You have **3** automations installed."

- **A toolbar** with two view buttons (Recommended / Browse all), a search box, and filters.

- **The main area**, with a **preview panel** on the right.

- **A sticky footer** with the batch **Import** button.

## Two ways to browse

Use the toggle in the toolbar:

- **Recommended** *(default)* — the curated view: collections, a featured automation, and

popular individual automations. Filter it with the **outcome chips** (All, Grow Revenue,

  Save Time, Cashflow, Operations).

- **Browse all** — every automation in the catalogue, grouped by **trigger** (Lead, Quote,

Project, Task, To-Do…). Use the trigger pills to jump to an area.

**Search** anything with the search box ("Search by outcome, workflow, trigger…"). It

matches names, descriptions, triggers and categories as you type.

## What an automation card shows

Each card gives you the essentials at a glance:

- **Name** and a short **description** of what it does.

- An **impact** line — the business benefit (e.g. "Increase quote wins").

- A **badge** for standouts (e.g. "Most Installed").

- A **readiness chip**:

  - **Ready immediately** (green) — no setup needed; you can activate as soon as it's

    imported.

  - **Setup required** (amber) — you'll need to fill in a detail or two (like a recipient

or a status) before it can be activated.

- A **Preview** link.

> The impact figures, badges and any "popular" labels are WorkGuru's general guidance to

> help you choose — they aren't measurements from your own account.

## Previewing before you install

Click **Preview** on any card to open the right-hand panel. It shows the automation's full

**path** — its trigger, conditions and actions laid out step by step — plus a "Customers

also installed" list of related automations (pre-ticked). Click **Add to selection** to add

the previewed automation (and any ticked related ones) to your import list.

## Installing

There are three ways to install, and all of them create **inactive drafts**:

1. **A single automation** — tick its checkbox (or use **Install** on the featured card),

then use the **Import** button in the footer.

2. **A whole collection / pack** — click **Import all N automations** on a pack card. This

installs every template in that pack at once.

3. **The Starter Pack** — click **Install Recommended Pack** in the top banner. The page

refreshes so the banner updates to show it's done.

The **footer** keeps a running tally of what you've selected — for example "**5**

automations selected — imported as inactive drafts you review & activate" — with an

**Import 5 workflows** button.

### After you install

You'll see a confirmation message such as:

> *"5 automations added as drafts. Find them under Workflows (Inactive) to review and

> activate."*

If you've installed some of them before, those are **skipped** rather than duplicated, and

the message tells you (e.g. "…2 already imported (skipped)"). If everything you picked was

already installed, you'll see an information message and nothing new is added.

## "Already installed" indicators

The Library knows what you already have and reflects it — the Starter Pack banner switches

to "installed", and the "recommended next pack" moves on to the next collection. Importing

the same template again won't create a duplicate; WorkGuru recognises it and skips it, even

if you've since renamed your copy.

## What happens next

Installing is only step one. Your new automations are **drafts** — they won't run until you

finish setting them up and activate them.  filter to **Inactive** to find them, fill in any required fields, and switch them on.
