You can add clients and contacts directly to WorkGuru via a new transaction (Lead, Quote, Project or Stock Sale).  This simplifies the workflow in that you don't have to create your clients before you use them on the transactions.  When using this function, the client will be created and saved to your client list and used on the transaction.


To add a new client from a transaction, click Add a New Client from the new lead/quote/project/stock sale page instead of the usual selection from the client dropdown.


Fill out the relevant fields from the Add a Client popup.  Note only the Name field is required.   You can quickly add just the client name to add to the transaction now and fill out the details later from the client dashboard.  Click Save to add the new client to the transaction.

NOTE: You can not add a contact in the add client screen.  This is done in a followup step.


You can add a new contact to a new or existing client from the same new transaction screen.   The Add Contact button is only available if a new or existing client has been selected.

Click Add Contact and fill out the contact fields.  Only the FirstName field is required, additional details can be added later via editing the contact from the client details page.  Click Save to apply.

The new client and contact are added to your clients list and can be managed further by editing them from the client dashboard.
