Adding a New Client and Contact from a Transaction

You can add clients and contacts directly to WorkGuru via a new transaction (Lead, Quote, Project or Stock Sale). 

This simplifies the workflow in that you don't have the extra step of creating your clients before you use them on a transaction. When using this function, the client is added to both the new transaction and your client and contact list to use later.

New Client

To add a new client from a transaction, click Add a New Client from the new lead/quote/project/stock sale page instead of the usual selection from the client dropdown.

Fill out the relevant fields from the Add a Client popup. Note: Only the Name field is required. You can quickly add just the client name to add to the transaction now and fill out the details later from the client dashboard.

Click Save to add the new client to the transaction.

New Client Contact

You can add a new contact to a new or existing client from the same new transaction screen. The Add Contact button is only available if a new or existing client is present in the Client dropdown. You will see the Add Contact button change from grey to blue.

Click Add Contact and fill out the contact fields. Only the First Name field is required, additional details can be added later via editing the contact from the client details page.

Click Save to create the new contact. 


The new client and contact are added to your clients list and can be managed further by editing them from the client dashboard.
