Assets in WorkGuru allows you to maintain full history of a "thing" regardless of which client 'owns' the asset. The asset will aggregate the information on all quotes and projects that have been assigned to an asset together in the assets tabs. If the owner of the asset changes, you can update the asset client without impacting any of the history. The asset will also summarise the financials displayed in the actual vs forecast widgets. You can easily see the overall profitability of the asset over time.
You can also track the usage of internal assets that you own on projects by associating your asset to a non-stock product that is used to bill that asset out on projects. This allows you to track the usage of your assets over your projects. Are your assets making enough revenue on projects to cover their costs etc.
