Supplier fields allow you to insert company and contact information from a WorkGuru Supplier into supported document templates.
- Use the Supplier fields when you need information about the Client business.
- Use Supplier Contact fields when you need information about an individual person associated with that Supplier.
These fields can be used to display information such as:
- Supplier Information
- Supplier Address
- Supplier Contacts
- Supplier Credit Limit
- Supplier Credit Terms
- Supplier Credit Fields
- Supplier Custom Fields
Document Compatibility
Supplier fields are primarily used with purchasing-related documents where a Supplier is associated with the underlying transaction. They are supported on:
- Purchase Orders - see Purchase Order Document Templates
- Supplier Credit Notes - see Credit Note Document Templates
Supplier fields are Universal Fields, which means they can be placed directly within supported document templates and do not need to be inside a repeating table. Merge fields are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as displayed below.
Supplier Information Fields
| Description | Merge Field |
|---|---|
| Supplier Name | [SupplierName] |
Supplier ABN | [SupplierABN] |

Supplier Custom Fields
Custom fields assigned to Suppliers can also be included in supported document templates where the custom field is available to that transaction type. Use Custom followed by the custom field name.
For example, if you have a Supplier custom field called:
AccountManager
the merge field would be:
[CustomAccountManager]
Custom field availability depends on the custom field configuration and the document type being generated.
For more information, see the Custom Fields Guide.
Troubleshooting
Supplier Fields Are Blank
Check that:
- A Supplier or contact is associated with the transaction.
- The required information has been entered against the Supplier or Contact
Merge Fields Appear Instead of Values
If fields such as [SupplierName] appear in the generated document instead of Supplier information, check:
- Merge field spelling
- Capitalisation
- Document compatibility
- That the correct merge field has been used
- Merge fields are case sensitive.
