The Custom Fields dashboard in WorkGuru is found under the Administration dropdown and provides a list or all Custom Fields setup in WorkGuru. Custom Fields can be used to capture and record information specific to requirements.
Custom Fields are available to be added to the following functions:
- Assets
- Clients
- Leads
- Products
- Production Jobs
- Projects
- Project Templates
- Purchase Orders
- Quotes
- Stock Sales
- Suppliers
- Tasks
- Timesheets
Custom Fields can also be marked mandatory so they have to be filled out to save the relevant transaction. Create a custom field by clicking the Actions menu and selecting Add a Custom Field. You can also create a selectable group of custom fields to suit different project types by selecting Custom Field Groups Dashboard.
You can select the custom field type on the left hand side and Edit and delete fields by clicking the edit and trash icons at the end of the row.
Custom fields can then be displayed on relevant document templates by using the word "Custom" as a prefix to the field name, inside the usual document template field square brackets as per the following syntax: [CustomFieldName] eg [CustomVIN]. Field name is case sensitive etc.
