If you require your templates to pre-populate your quote, project or production job custom fields, ensure the Use on Project Templates option selected in addition to the other relevant fields. Custom fields in WorkGuru are hierarchical, so if the template is applied at the quote stage, and custom field occurs on both the quote and the project, the project will inherit the field data from the quote.
The template custom field functionality is also contextual:
- Production templates custom fields can only pre-populate production job custom fields.
- Project template custom fields can only pre-populate quote and product custom fields.
When creating or editing a template, the field will now be available to be filled out with templated data.
When adding the template to a quote, project or production job, ensure that the Fill blank custom fields option is selected to pre-populate the custom fields from the template.
